Michelle Cerrato
Research Coordinator
"The epitome of wisdom lies in our duty to safeguard and preserve the environment that sustains us. Being part of a team that goes above and beyond in the pursuit of ocean conservation brings me profound fulfillment."
Michelle's journey began at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Her interest in Marine ecosystems led her to Utila, Bay Islands, where she became a professional diver and worked to conserve coral reefs. Her enthusiasm and passion for the underwater world only grew bigger with time, compelling her to join Roatan Marine Park on their mission, and she now runs the Asexual Coral Restoration programs of the organization.
