Service Description
A guided hike along the Las Brisas del Cumbre Paya Trail, where history and nature meet. Discover the remnants of an ancient Paya settlement, with clay artifacts still scattered across "La Mesa India." As you ascend, enjoy panoramic views of Roatan's north, south, and west sides. Your guide, a descendant of the Paya people and an expert of these hills, will share stories of his ancestors, local legends, pirate tales, and ghost stories. The hike concludes with refreshing fruit juices and local snacks. Activities Included: - Guided Historical Hike: Explore the ancient Paya settlement while hearing stories, history, and local legends, observing remnants of clay artifacts scattered throughout the trail. -Enjoy panoramic views of Roatan’s north, south, and west sides. -Natural Exploration of natural trail, including flowing water, an old treasure cave, and diverse plant life. - Receive Cultural Education: Learn about the history of the Paya people, their environmental practices, and the present ones of the community. -Storytelling: Hear captivating tales of pirate history, ghost stories, and other mysteries. -Local Refreshments: After your hike, you will receive freshl fruit juices and local snacks prepared by members of the community. What to bring? -Comfortable hiking shoes -Reusable water bottle -Sunscreen and hat -Insect repellent -Lightweight backpack -Camera or smartphone -Rain jacket (during raining season) Group min. 4 and max. 8 people Transportation Transportation is not included. After booking we will provide directions for your tour.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for choosing ROATAN OUR PRIDE! We are dedicated to providing sustainable and enriching experiences. Below are our terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations to ensure a smooth process for all our guests. Cancellations: - Cancellations made more than 96 hours prior to the scheduled tour or activity are eligible for a full refund (minus a 10% administrative fee & 20% conservation fee). - Cancellations made between 48 and 96 hours before the scheduled tour will receive a 50% refund, reflecting the preparation costs already incurred. - Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour, or no-shows, are not eligible for a refund. - We understand that emergencies happen. In the case of medical emergencies or unavoidable circumstances, please contact us directly to discuss your situation, and we will do our best to accommodate you. - For group reservations the same conditions apply. Weather-related Cancellations: - Your safety is our priority. If a tour or activity needs to be canceled due to adverse weather conditions or safety concerns, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. - We will notify you as soon as possible in the event of weather-related cancellations and will work with you to find a suitable alternative. Rescheduling: - Guests may reschedule their tour or activity once at no additional cost, as long as the request is made at least 96 hours before the scheduled tour. - Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the tour or activity may be subject to a 20% rescheduling fee based on the original booking price. - Rescheduled bookings are subject to availability. If your preferred date is unavailable, we will work with you to find an alternative that fits your schedule. Include your booking number, full name, and reason for the request. - Attach any supporting documents if applicable (e.g., medical certificates for emergencies). - Our team will review your request and respond within 3 business days with the status of your request and further instructions. Refunds: - Refunds are only eligible under the following circumstances: Cancellations made by the guest within specified time frames (96 hours before the scheduled tour or activity).
