Service Description
Visit the "Island Honey Apiary," a family-run business owned by the Flores family, who transitioned from fishing to beekeeping with the support of Roatan Marine Park through a sustainable livelihood project in 2015. Get up close and personal with bee hives, suited up in protective gear, you will also get to explore the production area where honey is processed and packaged. *Visit and open a live hive. -Spot and identify different types of local bees. -Learn how to use proper protection gear. -Tour the production site to see how honey is collected, processed, and packaged. -Enjoy honey sampling and have time to purchase honey products. Groups of 2 minimum and 8 maximum. What to bring? *Bring as little as possible since you’ll be wearing a full-body beekeeper suit. -Wear hiking shoes that cover your ankles. -Avoid strong perfumes, scents, and repellents. -Long pants are recommended. -This tour is not suitable for those allergic to bee stings. Transportation Transportation is not included. After booking we will provide directions for your tour.


















Cancellation Policy
Thank you for choosing ROATAN OUR PRIDE! We are dedicated to providing sustainable and enriching experiences. Below are our terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations to ensure a smooth process for all our guests. Cancellations: - Cancellations made more than 96 hours prior to the scheduled tour or activity are eligible for a full refund (minus a 10% administrative fee & 20% conservation fee). - Cancellations made between 48 and 96 hours before the scheduled tour will receive a 50% refund, reflecting the preparation costs already incurred. - Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour, or no-shows, are not eligible for a refund. - We understand that emergencies happen. In the case of medical emergencies or unavoidable circumstances, please contact us directly to discuss your situation, and we will do our best to accommodate you. - For group reservations the same conditions apply. Weather-related Cancellations: - Your safety is our priority. If a tour or activity needs to be canceled due to adverse weather conditions or safety concerns, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. - We will notify you as soon as possible in the event of weather-related cancellations and will work with you to find a suitable alternative. Rescheduling: - Guests may reschedule their tour or activity once at no additional cost, as long as the request is made at least 96 hours before the scheduled tour. - Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the tour or activity may be subject to a 20% rescheduling fee based on the original booking price. - Rescheduled bookings are subject to availability. If your preferred date is unavailable, we will work with you to find an alternative that fits your schedule. Include your booking number, full name, and reason for the request. - Attach any supporting documents if applicable (e.g., medical certificates for emergencies). - Our team will review your request and respond within 3 business days with the status of your request and further instructions. Refunds: - Refunds are only eligible under the following circumstances: Cancellations made by the guest within specified time frames (96 hours before the scheduled tour or activity).
